At 4am on a Saturday morning when the earthquake struck. My mum was running down the hall “Saying earthquake.” All the books came down off my shelf. After the earthquake we had to clean up the house. My dogs barked because it was their first earthquake.

When the earthquake happened I ran to my dad. He said “Earthquake, earthquake” We ran down stairs. Mum said “Get under the table.” Mums vase smashed on the carpet. We slept under the table as an aftershock happened we jumped up and ran to doorways.
