‘The earthquake’- Sid & Eli, 9, Oxford Area School
On a blustery night I heard a roar and my glass fell down. I thought it was a tornado my wall snapped in half. Dad said “It’s an earthquake.” We rushed to the strong table. Mum shouted, “Rio Rio!” I said to mum, “Rio is at her friends” but Mum did not listen. Dad was making jokes about the earthquake. Finally the earthquake has gone. Until a big aftershock hit, we stood still it went away then we watched One News. We got all the information we needed.
