‘BAAAAAMMMMMMM!!!!!!!’-Harley, ‘nearly 10′, Halswell School

On the day of the 6.3 magnitude earthquake I was at home eating my lunch because I had an earache  and my mum had to take the day off work.’

When it struck, I was sitting on the chair eating a cup of noodles…… BAAAAAMMMMMMM!!!!!!!! The earthquake shook like I had never seen it before as my mum screamed like they always do. I simply made my way out onto the grass outside. (So here we are outside a few seconds after a 6.3 earthquake. Hmmmmmmmmm………) As the aftershocks rattled me and my mum  listened to the radio. (The radio was shared with us and our neighbor.Bob. Bob was a really nice neighbor because he kept us company. We tried the cellphones as the line was cut off. We went in the car to get jordan from school. When we arrived at the school there was huge cracks in the pathway next to the school hall as you could never get in there since the 7.1 earthquake about 6 months ago which was actually more deep in the ground then the scary 6.3 that just happened. Thank you, Harley.

    Hey Harley

What a big day, first earache then an earthquake.

I am glad Bob was around to share the radio which would have helped you.
When you picked up Jordan I reckon you would have all been very pleased to all be together again.

It’s important to tell your story, it helps those of us who are not there to know what we can do to help. We are trying to raise loads of money that will be used in Canterbury to help it regrow again.

Please take care of yourself and send my best wishes to your family and friends.
