‘THE AMAZING EARTHQUAKE’- Cameron, 10, Weedons School

On Saturday 3rd of September at 4:35am I was in my very first earthquake.

When it hit I thought it was a train but it wasn’t, it was an earthquake.

My Dad said I was going “Chugga,  chugga, choo, choo!” when I was a sleep. WOW! I was embarrassed from head to toe.

Me and Dad wanted to go to bed but Mum and Shianne wanted us to stay up.

I was pretty worried because I thought I was going to be in a bigger earthquake.

The next day I went straight to my nana’s house, it was a safe house in Christchurch that I know has nothing broken.
