‘My story’-Kelly, 8, Burwood School
When the earthquake happened I was at QEII it was really scary. My mum was at home she just finished two days of cleaning the whole house. But then everything went bad. My dad thought an airplane just crashed. The parent who got me back was my friends dad, back to Burwood School.

I am not surprised you were scared when the big earthquake came, you weren’t alone as most people were.
Poor old Mum cleaning all the house and then that awful thing happening.
I hope things have improved for you all there and that you are back at school.
It is a difficult time from what I have seen on the TV and in the papers and you are all very brave doing all sorts of amazing things.
