I was freaked out. then I was actually thinking about my family and pets and relised I had pet guiniepigs and knew they were only nearly 1. I WAS WORRIED!!! then on my way to mrs gomez and my sister gabby sewage was coming out EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was crying. the sand looked like dough it was GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. a friend had to pick me up because my mum and dad where working and i did ‘nt know how long before i was going to see them! mrs gomez said to play on the junior part of the school but ……. it was even worse over there so the principal said for every one to go back to class .and then there was another after shock!
Hi Bryony
Poor old you falling in a bush, I hope you are ok now.
It is natural to think of your family and pets at this sort of time, I hope they are all fine now and well cuddled.
The liquifaction is an odd looking thing, I am so sorry you have had this awful stuff. I see on the news that there are a lot of volunteers clearing it away.
Are you back at school now? Please send everyone around you my very best wishes.
From Ella in Auckland.
Hello, Bryony!!
Wow! When I saw this website I was hoping Emmanuel Christian School would be represented and there you were – and Gabby too! Fantastic.
Just as well Mr G got rid of the bees in the bush. It would have been awful if that was the bush you happened to fall in. Do you know it took two days to clean up all the liquefaction? There was a big pile of it on the road wasn’t there?
I’m so proud of you. You always put other people first so I’m not surprised you thought first about your pets and family.
Praise God that you are all safe!
What songs were you singing. “How great is our God,” was on my mind.
Much love, hugs and prayers.
We feel very sorry about what happened at christchurch we hope everything gets better

I hope your pet guinea pigs are ok, and also your other pets.
