Earthquake

4.35 a.m I’m lying in bed just about to go back to sleep when it started shaking. It got

bigger,bigger and bigger!

“Get under here”, yelled my dad.

I ran under the door frame. When it stopped we all got under the bunk. My dad got a torch. We stayed there for a while then went into the kitchen. My nana came down from the backyard. In the morning dad had a look outside. Our street was fine. Dad thought it didn’t affect Kaiapoi. Later on we went for a walk. It wasn’t pretty! When we got power back on we found out that Kaiapoi was on of the worst effected places.
