‘THE EARTHQUAKE’- Ezra, 10, Weedons School
On the night, it was like any other night. I went to bed, I was texting then fell asleep. Next thing I knew, the door was shaking, my room was shaking, I was shaking! All my stuff was on the floor under my stereo and it’s being held by a plug! I tried to get out but the door handle fell off.
When I got out, I went to the dining table with the others. We pushed away the glass from under the table. Then I herd a meowww! I went down the back and saw my cat under the huge painting and mirror. We lifted her out and she bolted.
We didn’t go to bed for a bit, but we sat beside the fire, then finally went to bed. We heard after shocks all through the night.
In the morning, mum took photos of damaged stuff. I took photos of stuff on my phone. It took days to clean up and with the after shocks, it is not pretty.
You described the event really well Ezra. Great words to let us know what happened to you!
Wow its lucky that your stero was held up by the cord.
That would be scary that your cat ran away
Sorry about the cleaing but your not the only one that had to clean up a home too.
