Henry, 9, Hororata Primary School

Crash, crash, I woke up. I thought I could hear a huge gust of wind but it wasn’t, it was an earthquake. I woke up my friend and we rushed down the stairs like cheetahs. Our whole family got our steal and concrete table. The earthquake was still roughly shaking the house while we were under the table. We were all waiting for another one to hit. My foot was spraying out blood because I stood on a piece of glass. The earthquake was terrifying. I thought that this wouldn’t happen in my life.
