‘Shaking like mad!’-Tim, 10, Redcliffs School

On Tuesday there was an earth shattering earthquake. When the earthquake struck I was at my school, Redcliffs, having my lunch break. There was a giant booming noise. Part of the cliff collapsed behind our school and the ground was shaking like mad! My only instinct was to get out of the school. I thought the rocks would come rolling down the hill and smash through the buildings and start chasing me. When I was out of the school a boy called Max said “THAT WAS AWESOME, CAN WE SEE THAT AGAIN?” Then he looked around and almost everyone was crying so he put the smile away and put a normal face on. A little while later my mum came to see if I was ok. Then we waited at school for my dad to come, and he did.
