“I got a shock”- Flynn M, 5, Marshland School
In the earthquake I got a shock. I went under my brother’s bed. I thought my brother was shaking the bed. There are little cracks in my house but not on the driveway.
Whenmyhomeshook.co.nz is a website dedicated to helping Canterbury School children overcome the 2011 earthquake by providing a platform where they can openly share their personal earthquake stories and experiences.These stories were turned into a book which was distributed free to all Christchurch libraries and schools. Hosting of the website is covered by oVRcome, a virtual reality app to help people overcome phobias and anxieties.
That must of been very scary. I woudn’t have liked it if I were in Christchurch at the time.
At school we are having a Canterbry day wearing colours black and red I think. -Rebecca.
