‘Hideous Earthquake’, Jack, 7, Weedons School

On Saturday morning a humongous earthquake struck at 4.35am. First I got under the door and waited for my mum but my dad was not there because he was dropping Hayden off to milk the cows. I was really terrified. My Mum’s favourite china set smashed. Next Dad charged to the door but he forgot the key so he had to charge back out. My dog Zac ran away for two days. Then suddenly Zac came back. There are cracks all over the house. All of the roof is pulling up. My carpet has been pulled down. There were power cuts but we were lucky because we have a generator. I am lucky to be alive because there was glass all over my bed.
