When My Home Shook

This website is a resource to hear how Canterbury primary and intermediate school children personally overcame the recent disaster and provides personal accounts on how the community came together to help one another.

Submit your story to mystory@whenmyhomeshook.co.nz and include your first name, age and school.  Stories can be as long or as short as the child feels shows:

  • How they overcame hardship and personally  coped with the disaster
  • How they supported one another
  • How their community came together

Stories can be submitted as an attachment or as text within the email

The website will be updated with stories on Monday.

    i was in the sport shed with my friends we run out of the shed. I can’t believe it was a 6.3. I feel bad that lots of people got hurt and 163 people died but i also feel bad for there family is well.The good thing is my family is all right this comment is coming toan end i hope u had fun
