‘My story’-William, 9, Avonhead Primary School
I was siting at my desk when the 6.3 happened at first I thought I would be a 4 or 5 but at the end I knew It was higher than a 5. When I got home I listened to the radio and found out it was a 6.3.

Hi I feel very sorry for you and everyone else in your family and I hope none of them got hurt or if you got hurt. I heard about the first one in Christchurch in September and I thought that one had done lots of Damage! But anyway I hope that you and your family and friends get better and I also heard about the aftershocks that does not feel very nice at all. But again I hope that everyone you know and everyone in Christchurch gets better and they don`t get hurt in any of the aftershocks and I hope that there will be no more earthquake in Christchurch
hope you recover well =)
Hi William
How amazing you are to be able to monitor the earthquake, you sound very scientific…that could be a very useful skill for New Zealand!
I hope things are settling down for you at home and at school. It sounds as though things were pretty awful for a while there for everyone.
Being so far away it is impossible to know what it is like, we can only imagine. We are trying hard to support you guys and just to let you know we are thinking of you a lot.
From Ella in Auckland.
