About
This website was created in the days following the first Christchurch Earthquakes as a resource to hear how Canterbury primary and intermediate school children personally overcame the earthquakes and provides personal accounts on how the community came together to help one another. The stories were documented in a book in May 2011 which were distributed to Canterbury schools and community libraries. By reading other stories, it allowed for children to learn of the anxiety other children were experiencing also. Spare copies were also made available on Trademe with 100% of the funds given to charity (Red Cross Appeal, Save a Christchurch Family fund and the Kate Barron Trust). Unfortunately there are no more books available and no plans for a reprint.
The site and book were created by Adam Hutchinson.
