‘My story’-Kaydin, 4, Kidsfirst Kindy
I was at My Aunties house with My mum, aunty and cousin when the earthquake started. We were sitting at the table having a talk because it was my cousin Valerie’s birthday, and the ground started to shake. I jumped up to mummy and she took me under the doorway with Valerie and Aunty. When the ground stopped moving we got straight into the car to go and get my sisters and my friend from school. When we got to school we were in my big sisters class when we had another earthquake. My mum helped Mr Scott and Neil with the kids while I stood by Neil. All the kids got under their desks. We waited for a minute or so and Took Shvoune and Cherie and then went to get Stevie-lee. We took Cherie home and then went back to My aunties house to make sure everyone was ok. I was very happy to see my cousin Jack But was also very very scared. When my mum took me and my sisters home we walked in and lots of stuff was on the ground and the tv almost in the window.

Mummy was kind to help Mr Scott and Neil with the kids and then she took lots of people home too, I hope she is not too tired.

We are so sorry about how you must of felt when it happened.I t must have been very scary but you
have been very brave. Our school is gonna have a funky hair day on Friday and are going to wear red and black and donate money for you guys .We hope you won’t have another huge EarthQuake .We hope that your city will be better soon don’t worry its gonna be alright and we are gonna bring you a can of yummy treats for you.
