‘My story’-Fraser, 5, Halswell School
When I was in the classroom with all my friends we heard the Earthquake and we went out to the field. I was really scared but my teacher made me feel better. Mummy came to take me home. I was happy to see Mum.

Hi Fraser
Thank you for your writing, are you back at school yet?
I have seen many children who want to get back to school and meet their friends.
Mummy would have been so happy to see you and take you home.
Please send my very best wishes to your family and friends I am thinking of you lots and really want the best for you.
From Ella in Auckland.
Hi Fraser,
I bet your Mum was super happy to see you too! The earthquake sounds very scary – but isn’t it wonderful that all the policemen and fire-fighters are helping people in the city and lots of others are helping in other ways.
Even though my son and I are all the way up in Waitakere in the North Island, we wanted you to know that we liked how you told your story and we hope that you are happy and safe.
:o)
