“Is everybody OK?”-James, 6
I was in the big field when the earthquake went and I got scared and water started coming under my feet. I ran to my class. My teacher ran back to my class and said “is everybody OK?”. She knew the people crying was not OK. Then we went to the field and then my teacher signed our names.
Hi James
Thank you for writing your piece about the earthquake. It sounds very big and frightening for you all there.
I am in Auckland and have seen pictures on the tv but that is not the same as being there. I would feel a bit scared and I am an adult.
I hope that the earthquakes stop now and you can settle down to a quieter time.
Your teacher looked after you well and made sure you were safe, that’s good.
I hope your family are well too, please say ‘hello’ to them from me.
Take good care of yourself, you are now a Canterbury Champion!
