‘Earthquake Disaster’-Brianna, 7, Harewood School

On Tuesday 22 nd February there was a earthquake it was a 6.3 most people were crying on the second one some were crying on the first one. Some parents came to see there kinds. Zoe was crying I was not crying dad was on his way to get us but got stuck in traffic so Michelle picked us up and took us to her house. Dad picked us up from there. Me and Zoe got to sleep on mattresses on the floor in mum and dads room.

    Everyone at school was so brave and did the right thing to keep safe. It was good to all be together while we waited to be picked up. It sounds like it would be fun sleeping in Mum and Dad’s room!

    Thanks for your report on the big earthquake and what it was like for you.

    There were a lot of people crying on that day which is quite normal when things get a bit frightening.

    I am pleased you got home and have a mattress on the floor with Mum and Dad.
