‘My story’- India, aged 12
I sit on the field with one shoe on and one shoe off crying for my family
my friends comfort me as after shocks rock our school, silt and cracks surrounding us.
Whenmyhomeshook.co.nz is a website dedicated to helping Canterbury School children overcome the 2011 earthquake by providing a platform where they can openly share their personal earthquake stories and experiences.These stories were turned into a book which was distributed free to all Christchurch libraries and schools. Hosting of the website is covered by oVRcome, a virtual reality app to help people overcome phobias and anxieties.
Dear India
This earthquake was undoubtedly a traumatic experience for you and your family. I am so sorry that you went through it.
There are people worldwide that are thinking of you, aware of your plight and trying their best to assist in any way then can.
