My mind was spinning I thought it was my brother then I thought it was Mum. I heard things sliding off my desk and wardrobe then I knew it was an earthquake. My Dad raced into the side table when he was getting me then he got Jake, my brother, and we got in Mum and Dad’s bed. I could not get to sleep. My family could not get to sleep either because of the aftershocks. I didn’t know that the aftershocks were going to go on for a month.
