What a fright to be in the toilet when the earthquake hit. I think I would’ve screamed too. Bricks may have fallen and your vege garden squashed, but you and your family are safe! That’s what really counts. You look after you. Keep smilin love Aunty Raewyn xoxo

I feel very blessed to have you as my grandaughter. When you told me that one of the first things you wanted to do was to check that I was ok, it showed me just how strong your love is. Bless you always.
Love
Nan

Thank you for writing this piece on this website, it is good to know how people felt when the big earthquake was on.

I wish I could do more, there are a lot of people like me who are thinking of you all there and we are trying hard to think up amazing ways to get money in and how to send things to you.

Some people in New York did a collection and raised loads of cash and some others in London too,
we have in Auckland.

I have a vege garden too and would be sad if all my veges were crushed so I hope you are able to rescue some of yours and plant new ones again soon.

Take care my dear. From Ella in Auckland.
