How brave are you… we think you are a real brave little girl. We are 7 years older than you and
come from Hamilton. We are sure we would be really scared if we experienced an earhtquake
like you did. It was good that your mummy came quick to give you lots of cuddles and kisses.
We hope that the earthquake is feeling really comfortable so that it never has to move around
again. Lots of people in our school and in Hamilton send you a big hug.

“No, just over the crack in the road.”
“When it’s fixed can Abigail walk?”
“Yes”
“But not right now”
“That’s right”
“Were the other bits ok for Abigail to walk on?”
“I think so”
“I would like to take some photos of Abigail. I would like to see a picture of the earthquake from Abigail’s story”
“Abigail might draw one for you”
“Did her Mummy carry her over the earthquake?”
“She carried her over the crack caused by the earthquake”
“Did her Mummy carry her so she couldn’t fall in?”
“Yes”
“Who does go in the back of the car? Did some other children go in the back”
“I think so”
“I would like to ride in Abigail’s car one day”
